Review
SF Pressure Drop is a handy application that allows users to calculate pressure drops of flowing liquids and gases in pipes. The program is very complete and provides multiple tables and databases containing data of pipes (roughness) and data of flow medium (density, viscosity) that are extremely necessary to calculate pressure drops. It features a very simple and not very attractive user interface, which requires certain knowledge on this field to be operated. All the results obtained can be easily printed out. Other useful information include the properties of liquids, gases and several air calculation methods, calculation of heat transfer oils, calculation of aqueous solutions. The users can also create their own databases. The program is pretty customizable and enables you to set different real values in order to obtain the most accurate results for the experiment in the user-defined output values. This new version (6.2) features several improvements and new features, for example, the calculation of air properties has been improved and the option of calculating liquid refrigerants has been added. |
